The gasket ensures a reliable seal between the valve cover and the cylinder head and prevents engine oil leakage.

Due to age, heat, and temperature fluctuations, the valve cover gasket can harden, shrink, or become damaged. In the event of oil leakage around the valve cover, we recommend replacing the gasket.
