Description
Copper sealing ring 12 x 18 x 2 mm – per piece
Copper sealing ring for reliably sealing connections in, among others, the fuel system of classic Mercedes models. These rings are used in, among other applications various fuel filters and fuel pumps.
This version has a thickness of 2 mm and is therefore slightly thicker than the standard rings recommended by Mercedes. We use this thicker version for better sealing, particularly for older connections where the sealing surfaces are no longer completely flat due to years of use.

Additional information
These copper sealing rings are used, among other things, to seal connections on various fuel filters and fuel pumps. Always check whether the 12 x 18 mm size is suitable for the connection in question.
The ring is with 2 mm slightly thicker than the standard version recommended by Mercedes. The extra thickness can ensure a better seal because the copper ring can conform better to the sealing surface during tightening.
Tip from Stolk Balkbrug
We anneal these copper rings before assembly until they red-hot be. This softens the copper, allowing the ring to better conform to the surface to be sealed during installation.
Allow the ring to cool completely after annealing before mounting.
Installation advice
Always work cleanly when working on the fuel system and ensure that no dirt gets into the lines, fuel filters, or fuel pumps.
Carefully inspect the sealing surfaces for damage, corrosion, and old residue. Mount the copper sealing ring on a clean sealing surface and tighten the connection to the prescribed torque.
When disassembling, preferably always use a new copper sealing ring. After assembly and after starting the engine, carefully check the connection for fuel leakage.
NB: Work on the fuel system poses a fire hazard. Never work near open flames, sparks, or other ignition sources.
Always check before purchase and installation whether the part is suitable and equivalent based on photos, description, and specifications; installed or used parts cannot be returned.
