Viscous coupling radiator fan – Mercedes R107 W124 W126 W140 W201 W202 – M103 M104 engine

Viscous coupling for the mechanically driven radiator fan of various Mercedes models with, among others, M103 and M104 engines.

The viscous coupling regulates the drive of the radiator fan depending on the cooling demand. As the temperature increases, the fan is driven more strongly, moving more air through the radiator. A properly functioning viscous coupling is particularly important when low driving speeds, idling and warm weather.
