Additional information
- Replaces the old engine oil cooling hose, the rubber of which can harden and become brittle due to age.
- A torn or porous hose can cause engine oil leakage and loss of engine oil.
- In the event of severe oil loss, there is a risk of engine damage.
- When replacing, also check the other engine oil cooling hoses and connections for aging, cracks, and leakage.
- A common problem is damage to the threads of the aluminum connections of the engine oil cooler. When unscrewing an old oil hose, the aluminum thread of the oil cooler can be damaged or stripped and remain trapped in the hose's screw coupling.
- If the oil cooler's threads are damaged in this way, we advise to replace both the engine oil cooler and the relevant engine oil cooling hose. Do not mount a new hose on a damaged connection.
- Therefore, always carefully check the threads of both the after disassembly engine oil cooler as the hose connection before new parts are installed.
- After installation, carefully check the engine oil level and all connections for leaks.
- Check the hoses for leaks again after the first ride.
NB: The early and late versions are not directly interchangeable. Before purchasing, compare the connections and wrench size with the existing piping.
Always check before purchase and installation whether the part is suitable and equivalent based on photos, description, and specifications; installed or used parts cannot be returned.
