Elring quality version – recommended by Stolk Balkbrug due to its very high quality, precise fit, and durable seal.
Intake manifold gasket with Mercedes OEM number 1131410680 – A1131410680, suitable for various Mercedes models with the M113 and M155 V8 petrol engines.
Two gaskets are required per V8 engine. The gaskets are sold individually.
This gasket ensures a good seal between the intake manifold and the cylinder head. Due to aging and temperature fluctuations, the seal can start to leak, causing the engine to draw in false air.
Leaking intake manifold gaskets are a known point of concern with the M113 engine. False air can cause irregular idling, power loss, an overly lean air-fuel mixture, and engine management malfunctions. In the event of prolonged, severe leakage, engine damage may occur under certain circumstances.

Additional information
1. Leaking intake manifold gaskets are a known problem with the Mercedes M113 engine. Due to aging, the gaskets can harden and cause false air.
2. False air can lead to irregular idling, loss of power, and an overly lean air-fuel mixture. In the event of prolonged severe leakage, engine damage may occur under certain circumstances.
3. When removing the intake manifold, also replace the fuel injector seals. These rubbers also harden due to age and can cause false air leaks.
4. Check all vacuum hoses, vacuum connections, and crankcase ventilation connections for cracks, hardening, and leakage.
5. Remove old gasket residue and carefully clean the sealing surfaces. Check them for damage and deformation.
6. Pay particular attention to the correct torque and the prescribed tightening sequence of the intake manifold mounting bolts. An incorrect tightening torque can cause damage, deformation, or new leaks.
7. After installation, check the intake system for false air, smooth engine operation, and any error codes.
8. The official Mercedes workshop manual and factory specifications always take precedence.
Tip from Stolk Balkbrug
For maintenance or repair of the Mercedes M113 engine, we recommend the intake manifold gaskets, injector seals and vacuum connections to replace/check preventively.
Even when the engine is still running reasonably well, minor leaks may be present. Timely replacement of aging seals can prevent engine failures and potential consequential damage.
Always check before purchase and installation whether the part is suitable and equivalent based on photos, description, and specifications; installed or used parts cannot be returned.
